This cool season, petit bunchgrass outcompetes cheatgrass making it an excellent addition in restoration projects, not to mention the lovely seed heads and wispy shape they add to the garden. Does well in all native soil types. Grasses are a crucial part of our shrub steppe ecosystem and serve as host plants and shelter points for a variety of pollinators, lichens and mosses!
